The $35 row is transactional email alone. The table on the Resend comparison does not name Resend's plan for that row. The $115 row is Resend Pro plus Pro Marketing for 10,000 contacts. Sending newsletters through Resend's email API, with your own consent and unsubscribe handling, is a different workflow from that managed-newsletter price.
SendPanda counts recipients. 100,000 transactional emails plus 10,000 newsletter recipients is 110,000. Growth includes 100,000. The extra 10,000 is $5 at $0.50 per 1,000, and only if you turn overage on and set a cap. Otherwise sending pauses at the quota.
Resend includes 3 inboxes, and inbox sends and receives use its transactional quota. SendPanda incoming mail has its own daily limit. Replies and forwarding use the sending quota. The inbox is for support-style mail. It is not IMAP.

Why is Resend sometimes $35 and sometimes $115?
$35 is the October 2026 price for 100,000 transactional emails. $115 adds the managed marketing plan for 10,000 contacts. SendPanda Growth is $29 for 100,000 total recipients, or $34 for 110,000 with optional overage enabled.
Is there a cheaper Resend alternative at this volume?
SendPanda Growth is $29 for 100,000 emails. Verify the domain, create a key and swap the send call. Templates can be pasted in as HTML. Choose Resend if you want its SDK ecosystem or its included inboxes.
When we're not the right fit: if you send millions of emails a month, Amazon SES directly or SendGrid Pro will serve you better. Our largest plan is 200,000 a month; for dedicated IPs or more volume, email us about Enterprise. And if you need Outlook or Apple Mail to connect straight to a mailbox, that is not ready yet: our inbox is for support-style mail with daily limits, and you can forward any mailbox to Outlook or Gmail meanwhile.
